Does Kapatan Baseball respect copyright?
Yes. Kapatan Baseball respects the rights of copyright owners and expects readers and contributors to do the same. If you believe that something on the site infringes your copyright, you can ask us to remove it by following the steps below, which are based on the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
How do I send a takedown notice?
Email your notice to legal@baseball.kapatan.com. A notice should contain the following.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
- The address (URL) on Kapatan Baseball where the material appears.
- Your contact details, so we can reach you.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Notices that leave out these items may be hard for us to act on.
What happens after a valid notice?
The Kapatan Baseball Editorial Team reviews the notice. If it is complete and valid, we remove or disable access to the material and may tell the person who published it. We may also contact you to ask for clarification.
Can the other side respond?
Yes. If someone believes material was removed by mistake or misidentification, they may send a counter-notice to the same legal address. It should identify the material removed, say where it appeared, include a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake, and carry a signature. We may forward a counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice.
What about repeat infringers?
We may restrict or block anyone who is repeatedly found to infringe copyright. For other legal terms, see the Terms of Service.
